What OPS stands for
OPS is Intel's Open Pluggable Specification: an industry standard for small modular computers that plug into a matching slot on an interactive flat panel. The slot supplies the connections and power the module needs, so no separate PC, cables or power brick are required.
Why add one to an Android display
VISION Edu, Pro and ProMax run Android with a built-in whiteboard, screen sharing and apps. If teachers or staff need Windows software, an OPS module adds a full Windows computer inside the panel.
The VISION OPS PC module
The VISION OPS PC Module runs Windows 11 on an Intel Core i7 processor with up to 64GB RAM and NVMe storage. It is designed for compatible interactive displays.
What to check before you buy any OPS module
- The slot variant your display supports (see the table above for VISION).
- Module dimensions, connector and power requirements against the display's documentation.
- The operating system and licence included.
- Who supports the module if something fails.
Frequently asked questions
What is an OPS slot?
A standardised bay on an interactive display where a small plug-in PC, the OPS module, connects to display, power and USB without external cables.
Do VISION displays have an OPS slot?
Yes. ProMax and Pro list OPS-E and OPS-C compatibility, and Edu supports OPS-B and OPS-C.
Can I run Windows on a VISION interactive display?
Yes, by adding the VISION OPS PC module, which runs Windows 11. Without it the display runs Android.
Do I need an OPS module?
Only if you need Windows applications on the panel. The built-in Android whiteboard and screen sharing work without one.
